The bookies still believe in us...
Our friends at Coral (there are, however, other turf accountants available) still think we can do something this year...
3rd favourites to win the GF @ 5/1
Favourites to win the Challenge Cup @ 4/1
I'm mostly loving their optimism and I need to think in that manner more of the time...

Re: The bookies still believe in us...
I would think the CC would be a better option for us to win at this moment because it is less games and depends on the draw. The odds can and often change round to round.
We arent quite on it yet, history proves you dont need to be, so maybe 5/1 isnt a bad price. If we play like we have so far these odds will change and become longer odds.
Thankfully I am not a gambling man. Too hard earned to lose it.

Bookies offer odd based on the potential payout and I've no doubt many bets have already been placed on Cas to do something. It all pans out in the end...

In truth. We've absolutely no chance if everything doesn't get sorted out swiftly.
As when Carney was messing about. It effected the whole team due to the off field stuff. And this will be doing the same

The off-field matters, in reality, don't affect the players or impact on their performance though. Zak hasn't been part of pre-season, hasn't been part of the squad for months now. His situation will have no material impact on that.dettoriman wrote:In truth. We've absolutely no chance if everything doesn't get sorted out swiftly.

As for SG, much of what the club is doing can be handled by the existing BoD. The players should have no reason to go out and perform for the simple fact that it's not like the entire club is an uncertain situation. One person leaving, sacked, resigned or retiring doesn't change the operation of the business.

Hudds the feel good factor of last season isn’t there at the moment and that’s due to off field issues.this creates a cloud over the club which transfers to the pitch and fans resulting in poor performance or lack of confidence.hopefully we have a close knit team that can overcome this and still click.im hoping wardles debut if it happens can give us a lift on the pitch and give us the confidence we needHuddsTigers wrote:The off-field matters, in reality, don't affect the players or impact on their performance though. The players will be seeing the rumours, they'll be aware of the uncertainty around individuals on and off the field.
Until everything is sorted. A line drawn in the sand and moving on. Then it will be effecting them.
We had the issue with Carney a few years ago. And we weren't the same team afterwards. It does effect people. This is their lives.

Complete rubbish
Should make no diff to how they perform on the field regardless who runs the club. Not like the club will fold if SG goes is it.
Same for having no zak. They have known since last oct that they will be without him for the foreseable future. No reason to play sh*t for 2 yrs. Get on with it.
