DP / England / Sky

Post by Mysterio » 18 Feb 2018, 14:22

Did anyone hear Eddie say that Wayne Bennett still wasn't committed as Daryl is still in the frame? Or words to that effect?

Given the current landscape, given the current and seeming ongoing power struggle and inevitable BIG fall out, given it looks like Zak has gone and rumours are abound over unrest in the camp, will Daryl be currently considering his position with us?

Is it time for him to go (in his mind) and potentially come back in future?

I have a nasty feeling that we'll lose Daryl before the year is out.

It depends, I guess.

Personally when/if DP is announced as England coach, the usual statements will appear if it's full time.

'You can't thoroughly concentrate on the job when it's part time' etc.

I think our boardroom issues are likely to rumble on and obviously there will be fall out from them. To that end, DP may be thinking that he just doesn't need the hassle and stress. Especially given that if we end up slipping his reputation may be weakened.

Given his outstanding success of the past few years, he may feel he isn't going to be able to take us further due to our amateur set up.

The only thing in our favour is that he's a Cas lad and he clearly loves the club...

no problem doing the two jobs the England job is only part time, MC Banana did it whilst working down under , Daryl would do a great job and must be favorite after Bennet

England will announce Bennet will continue in the role this week.
Powell was asked to joint the England coaching staff but declined as he feels he has “unfinished business” at Cas.

Darryl has turned Warrington down a couple of times;

His ambition is to be England manager, but he is "a few years away from that"

We'd be naive to think more or less every team in SL haven't sounded him out.

I could see him as a proper saints coach..but.l thank god for this...his love is for Cas.

If I was on 100k per year and enjoying my dream job it wouldn't take any amount to prise me away.

Especially in the knowledge that I knew I'd give myself x number of years and reaching the summit of the game before simply then going for money.

I can see DP associated with us for many many years to come, and eventually moving upstairs.

Wow you been taking the pills? Just 24 hours ago you were saying:

Shoot me down but I can see a hefty defeat coming our way. Especially if the link isn't working still.
16-36 to Hull for mine.
In case anyone needs it spelling out - we're back to Cas of old on and off the pitch. Won't be long b fore Daryl goes.

To be fair , I think everyone’s head is spinning at the moment given the rumours and the teams shaky start !
