Jet lag will almost certainly affect Hull. We have had 2 weeks to prepare so should be much fresher of the 2 teams.

Hull did look good but the aussies are way behind in tbeir preparation yet still won wuthout a full side.

I feel Cas should be favourites but it all comes down to what DP and the players have "Sorted out" this last couple of weeks.

Pity its a Saturday 3.15 ko because that will impact on the crowd.

It feels proper old school playing on a Saturday afternoon.

It's a very interesting proposition this game due to all the stories circulating around the club and Hull's trip to Australia.

I predict a slug fest and a repeat of last year's games where Hull's size and go forward grinds us down on what will still be a heavy pitch.

A win would give us all a massive boost but I can't see it at the moment.

Cas 10 v. Hull 24 (unfortunately).

I would like to see Green in the team, the lad as physical presence what we have seemed to lack when playing Hull over recent times, Danny Houghton Taylor missing Jet lag we could not have met them at a better time,

Jet lag only marginally will affect the team
They will be home tomorrow, so 4 fulll days to recover.
Depends on who gets over it the best, it can vairy from person to person.
Just the travelling drains you.

Players out injured, mixed with all the above plus a defeat.
Looking at it on paper all advantages points to cas.

We have 2 weeks off to sort out our troubles.
No injuries that we no of.
2 weeks to train hard and get our heads right.
If we botch this then I fear for the rest of the season.

i think this match will show exactly where we are.we should be at a big advantage and if according to some we are not that far off then this should be a match we win with a bit to spare.i haven't seen anything that suggests we are not that far off and think hull will win with a bit to spare.

Shoot me down but I can see a hefty defeat coming our way. Especially if the link isn't working still.

16-36 to Hull for mine.

In case anyone needs it spelling out - we're back to Cas of old on and off the pitch. Won't be long b fore Daryl goes.

It's very simple in my eyes. Until all of the 'off field' stuff is sorted out, the team won't be performing 100% on the field - human nature, their minds won't be 100% on the game. If it's all sorted before Saturday I back us to win, if it's not then I can't see us winning.

I'd agree with that 100%

If we have the platform and all ends are tied up, it puts a whole different slant on it. Then it would be a close game.

As I said though - it will be like I initially said, bet ya!

If you have ever been to Aussie you will know jet lag is an absolute killer not a minimal issue. Been 3 times and trust me its a nightmare.

Never been to oz.
Have friends who have.
Jet lag affected one pretty bad, the other wasn’t affected as bad.
Just going of that tbh.

I’m really nervy about this match. There are so many factors that could affect the outcome:
Our poor start to the season - trouble in the camp?
Hull’s Oz trip - injuries and jet lag.
Our poor recent record against Hull.
Heavy surface - not good for an open game.
Our Full Back problem
Our long period between matches
Hull’s short turnaround

I obviously hope we can win but it seems to me too close to call

I've been to oz, as well as plenty of other far flung corners of the world - southeast asia, western America etc. takes me a day or two to fully recover from jetlag.

Hull will have had best part of a week. They'll be fine. It won't be ideal prep for them (say 2 days lost training), but it will be minimal disruption.
