Is would go pretty similar to that but have foster over Meeks (unless wardle is fit)

With the games we got coming up playing hull after they come back from oz no reason we cant be in top two after 6 rounds ...i want to see some swagger back in the team not looking like there about to take a walk over the bridge of sighs

Hitchcox/Claire (whichever has trained as back up full back in preseason, ideally that would be Hitchcox imo)
Eden
Shenton
Webster
Minikin
Roberts
Gale
Millington (assuming recovered)
Mcshane
Massey
Wardle if fit (Foster if not)
Holmes
Milner

Ellis
Moors
JSL
Foster (if Wardle fit,) Cook if not.

I'd look at a short term loan for Trueman as a confidence builder and get him some game time at a lower level.

1 - jy
2 - minikin

4- shenton
5- eden
6- Roberts
7- Gale
8- Green
9- macca
10- Cook
11- oggy
12- Jesse
13- Massey

14- millo (if well enough)
15- moors
16- massey
17- Milner

Would give Wardle an extra week to get his hamstring sorted properly

If Millo is still unwell start Foster and JSL for impact off the bench

Shame that. He was causing havoc out wide left early last season.

A lot will depend on what happens this week but I must be the only one who would keep Roberts at full-back, put an arm around him this week and give him a chance to show his naysayers exactly what he can offer. I want him to have a stormer. And I also think he isn’t at fault for all our ills.

Roberts
Minikin
Webster
Shenton
Eden
Ellis
Gale
Millington (if fit)
McShane
Massey
Holmes
Wardle
Milner

Cook
JSL
Moors
Green

They will come out all guns blazing next week.

In terms of identifying games before the season starts where 2 points are a must if we are to finish top 4 - this is one of them. Let's all be in no doubt about that.

Anything but a solid victory means we really have got some kind of issue within the club.

Widnes will be up for this game after that result today for sure. Anything like Friday and we will be on the receiving end again.

I dont believe we have turned in to a bad side over tge close season but DP and the players need to earn their corn this next 7 days.
