Boxing Day Team
Keen to look forward, not backwards and also start looking at the future in terms of what's happening. So what would everyone's team for Boxing Day be?

CLASSY CAS FOREVER
Re: Boxing Day Team
Don't think the World Cup lads will play. Are they even back training. So can't see Roberts, Gale, mcmeeken or lo playing. And I think Eden is recovering from surgery.
Re: Boxing Day Team
it will be a good time to showcase our new recruits plus finding some one who can do a job for us at fullback , i saw Massey shopping in ASDA today, i commented to the wife i bet he is enjoying the off season more than I am, it seems light years since i saw the last CAS game, I keep getting a fix watching Sharlston or Lock Lane bugger me last week we turned up at Lock Lane only to find out the REFF had called it off
Re: Boxing Day Team
I have seen him 3 or 4 times recently on his own, he just might like shopping :dance:gateman wrote:it will be a good time to showcase our new recruits plus finding some one who can do a job for us at fullback , i saw Massey shopping in ASDA today, i commented to the wife i bet he is enjoying the off season more than I am, it seems light years since i saw the last CAS game, I keep getting a fix watching Sharlston or Lock Lane bugger me last week we turned up at Lock Lane only to find out the REFF had called it off

Re: Boxing Day Team
i cant see either Douglas or Maher being in the squad seeing that its been announced that they are on loan to Halifax next season, i hope to see Gary Lo play but the club may not want to play him seeing he as been in the world cup this lad along with Wardell could increase the numbers through the gate

Re: Boxing Day Team
I see no reason why the selection policy of the recent past for these games will change and therefore expect a string of fringe players and (very) few first team regulars.
Spreading the Cas gene pool
Re: Boxing Day Team
It was in the boxing day game last year you got the first clue of how good cas were going to be ok it was a young hull side but we fielded are strongest side apart from gale and roberts and it was clear the difference zak eden and jsl were going to make
not sure what to expect this boxing day we may go with a young side ourselves this time looking forward to it anyway ...

Re: Boxing Day Team
New players, fringe players and juniors for me. No overseas, internationals or people with any injuries.
Tbh we should be competitive without them.

Re: Boxing Day Team
IT will be great to see how our new signings and our very promising young players perform, we think we know were the weakness of our team lies , in my eyes prop forward and full back if during the forthcoming friendly's we can sort players out for these positions we can all look forward to another great season , the match day weather forecast looks good i for one cant wait
