Re: That’s that then.
Massive waste of time and money anyway.
Glad we are not risking any players.

Re: That’s that then.
well i can see why Melbourne Storm and Queensland Cowboys didnt want to travel for what in my mind is a mickey mouse comp in potentially freezing conditions & which didnt do warrington any favours at all last season.
if we had to lay out a substantial amount of money only to see it postponed due to our inconsistent weather we could have ended up losing an alleged £200k fortune in game funding.

Makes us appear a small-town club. Leeds, Wigan, Hull jetting off, and Leeds the "Champions" playing for title of best club in world! Farce.
Re: That’s that then.
Are we honestly bothered? I’m not. I would’ve gone to the jungle to watch it obviously but I’ve no interest in going to Australia to watch a glorified friendly.

Is a pity but it should be the team classed as champions verses their champions. For what is worth, Leeds v half a Melbourne team won't make the back pages in Oz or over here

That's exactly what's happening!mart0042 wrote:Is a pity but it should be the team classed as champions verses their champions. For what is worth, Leeds v half a Melbourne team won't make the back pages in Oz or over here

Probably because, compared to those you mention, we are a small-town club. We have nowhere near the resources of those 3 and never have had, but for some reason some expect us to be on a par after one reasonably successful season.cogito ergo sum wrote:Makes us appear a small-town club. Thank goodness Steve Gill has more about him than fly to Australia to beg a game! Let them get on with it.

Would have loved to have had a NRL team at the Jungle. Glad we aren't trekking over there to play though. Not old enough to have had the chance to see a touring side over here, we should try and arrange a friendly after the season with New Zealand when they come over.

Who's paying for Leeds to go over?

And they don't want to play it as they have another match the same day.the machine wrote:MelbourneKeithy wrote:Who's paying for Leeds to go over?
