Garry Lo
Re: Garry Lo
Talking to a flat capper last night, he recons we have signed a gem a real stand out player, pretty fast with the aggression of Justin Carney cant wait to see the lad play

takethetwo wrote:The agreement is that if he isn't in the Cas 17 that weekend , he is eligible to play for Sheffield. So depending on injuries we might not see him all season with Minikin on the right. We do need a big winger to bring the ball out and give the forwards a rest though. The amount of ground Fonua and Manu make is invaluable when your under the pump.old cas lass wrote:Looks like he's gonna be loaned back to Sheffield.
If you watch his highlights every one is on the left, so he's either here to put pressure on Eden or can learn his trade on the right. Whichever it is he's certainly a unit who will add to our squad.

Re: Garry Lo
Looks to have the physical attributes;
Lets just hope he can make the transition to SL, could be a real rough diamond.

Re: Garry Lo
he averages about a try a game but he did score 4 in a match earlier this season.
wouldn't surprise me if powell is already considering turning him into a centre or Robert Lui type stand off.

Re: Garry Lo
Interesting that cos Powell did make a point of saying he could pass the ball as well.lurcher wrote:he averages about a try a game but he did score 4 in a match earlier this season.

We will have to wait and see what he has in store for him.
Re: Garry Lo
I would have thought Minikin is Websters eventual replacement at centre meaning a wing vacancy probably 2019 or maybe sooner.lurcher wrote:he averages about a try a game but he did score 4 in a match earlier this season.

Re: Garry Lo
I wonder if the club are thinking of working with Sheffield on the dual registration , Garry being the start of our on loan signings ?? we are going to have a number of players available and Sheffield would be preferable to Oldham as dual registration partner being in an higher league
Re: Garry Lo
Was thinking the same. Then there's the Aston / Powell connection, them both playing together at Sheffield and their careers going on similar lines.gateman wrote:I wonder if the club are thinking of working with Sheffield on the dual registration , Garry being the start of our on loan signings ?? we are going to have a number of players available and Sheffield would be preferable to Oldham as dual registration partner being in an higher league
Think it makes sense. Sheffield will get a lot out of it, but then so should we.

Can't think of another PNG player ever playing for Cas so assuming he is the first.

Re: Garry Lo
I've convinced myself, looking back to the 50's/early 60's that we had a Tongan!
Any other oldies confirm that, or otherwise I've dreamed it.

The name that springs to mind Kitone Lave came over with a couple more if I am correct one had a small pools win and went back homecogito ergo sum wrote:I've convinced myself, looking back to the 50's/early 60's that we had a Tongan!

Think it might be Peni Latu who played 1 game in the late 1950s. It's a little before my time so not 100% but I have heard the tale before.laner wrote:The name that springs to mind Kitone Lave came over with a couple more if I am correct one had a small pools win and went back homecogito ergo sum wrote:I've convinced myself, looking back to the 50's/early 60's that we had a Tongan!

I think he's been tongan all his life, not just in 2006.Fumper27 wrote:Richard Fa'aoso in 2006 was Tongan.cogito ergo sum wrote:I've convinced myself, looking back to the 50's/early 60's that we had a Tongan!
