Squad for Hull
Re: Squad for Hull
Pressure is on Hull FC not us - they've a big void in their Points Difference which may be a telling factor
Only takes a few mistakes and forcing passes and the stakes get bigger

Re: Squad for Hull
The longer the game goes on and cas are in touching distance the higher the pressure increases and the mistakes come.hopefully we can stay in contention or even infront for as long as possible and get the win.i think saints and Wigan will both win so defeat v us knocks them out of the 4.

Re: Squad for Hull
Daryl plays ever game to win as he did last week.
I believe that will be the case tomorrow and will be no different.
Semi final places up for grabs,so some of our fringe players will be out to stake their claim as we saw with young Mr Trueman .
Pretty sure we will be singing Sweet Caroline at the end of the game.

This.
Every player in that squad must be desperate to play playoff footy. For some this is a chance to show they deserve a shot, for others it'll be proving that, should an injury occur in the semi final tnen they're ready to step up should we make the final.
Powell does not play to lose. Nor do any of his players.

Re: Squad for Hull
If we win tonight I'd put it down as the performance of the season and it will give us an immense boost. Even a narrow loss will do Hull no favours for the games to come.
Only 11/5 at Coral for a Cas win. An 8 point start on the handicap.
Come on boys - give Eddie something to get emotional about...!

Re: Squad for Hull
Be interesting if Trueman has another stormer if powell would even consider using him in the semi, personally i wouldn't use him

Re: Squad for Hull
Really surprised that Jake is playing. Thought he would be rested. Would be a huge blow if he picks up a knock. Everything crossed....old cas lass wrote:Trueman and Holmes both start.

Not really. He won't play next week anyway. McShane and Roberts at half backSuffolkTiger wrote:Really surprised that Jake is playing. Thought he would be rested. Would be a huge blow if he picks up a knock. Everything crossed....old cas lass wrote:Trueman and Holmes both start.

Assume he meant Webster even though he quoted the half back postFumper27 wrote:Not really. He won't play next week anyway. Re: Squad for Hull
I still think Hulls middle are collectively better than ours and Radders has got their technical skills well tuned
Their strength in contact is something we need to learn from.
Speed around the ruck in the D to offloads to their ability to make yards are an element we could improve on.

It brought back memories of bad old days ..i dont think it matters a fig what happened last night tho if were near full strength and play are best we win next two games and 2017 tigers will be rated one of the best super league outfits theres been ...up to the boys now to get the job done

11/8 with Coral, rude not to.tigerfeat wrote:Cas shortened to evens now at sky bet to win big one ...
I'm already on Hull at 10/1, 7/1 and 13/2 as I reckon they're the only ones that can stop us.
Be nice to have both the finalists, and then Cas win.

Re: Squad for Hull
Leeds will beat Hull next week I reckon. As good as Hull are Leeds have a good record against them.WF10 wrote:11/8 with Coral, rude not to.tigerfeat wrote:Cas shortened to evens now at sky bet to win big one ...

Re: Squad for Hull
I backed Hull weeks ago, before we played them in the cup. Even going back to April I said to me dad that I thought Cas were the best team, followed by Hull.
I just think Hull are better than Leeds.
St Helens have a good record against us *ducks*

Re: Squad for Hull
I can fully understand why we "rested" 9 players yesterday, but that was an embarrasment. None of the reserves stand a chance of getting selected for the last two matches, as none of them any where near good enough. The only thing DP learnt from that match is that 9 who started last night will not be playing on Thursday. Eden, Webster, Mcshane & McMeekan will play next week.

DP prob knew that already.stuey wrote:I can fully understand why we "rested" 9 players yesterday, but that was an embarrasment.
