Assume it would be that. All good if we get there.

Swings and roundabouts. If we played fri we get an extra rest before semi but less days before GF.

Guess this way it was always his plan to rest a few for last game and get the extra day recovery before the final should we win.

They don't play and we lose all momentum and it'll cost us next week!!

Glad you lot on here are only keyboard coaches.
There was me thinking a forum is all about discussions and opinions but apparently they're only for "keyboard coaches"

Injuries are part and parcel of the game and we'd be incredibly unlucky to lose 6 players to injury before the semi.

Beating Hull could put them in 4th spot and facing us in the semi having just been beaten by us. Letting them win will most likely leaves us facing Saints.

As someone else has said, swings and roundabouts but these are my views, DP has is and I'll still be shouting my support come what may. Not sure why this is a problem?

Tbf I don't think we'll lose momentum.
We shouldn't do.
I'm more worried about us going into a semi final with a big defeat (on a negative).
May heart says these lads will give everything and maybe win the game.
My head says how we gonna get by the big pack of hull, and there big backs.
I know the score line makes no difference to us league wise.
It's all about the mind set of the players when they walk out for the semi final.

Surely the other argument is our players will be fresh and our opponents hull could be fatigued especially mentally as there playing knock out footie against us this week never mind next week

Pressure is on Hull FC not us - they've a big void in their Points Difference which may be a telling factor
Only takes a few mistakes and forcing passes and the stakes get bigger

The longer the game goes on and cas are in touching distance the higher the pressure increases and the mistakes come.hopefully we can stay in contention or even infront for as long as possible and get the win.i think saints and Wigan will both win so defeat v us knocks them out of the 4.

Daryl plays ever game to win as he did last week.
I believe that will be the case tomorrow and will be no different.
Semi final places up for grabs,so some of our fringe players will be out to stake their claim as we saw with young Mr Trueman .
Pretty sure we will be singing Sweet Caroline at the end of the game.

This.

Every player in that squad must be desperate to play playoff footy. For some this is a chance to show they deserve a shot, for others it'll be proving that, should an injury occur in the semi final tnen they're ready to step up should we make the final.

Powell does not play to lose. Nor do any of his players.

If we win tonight I'd put it down as the performance of the season and it will give us an immense boost. Even a narrow loss will do Hull no favours for the games to come.

Only 11/5 at Coral for a Cas win. An 8 point start on the handicap.

Come on boys - give Eddie something to get emotional about...!

Really surprised that Jake is playing. Thought he would be rested. Would be a huge blow if he picks up a knock. Everything crossed....

Not really. He won't play next week anyway. McShane and Roberts at half back

Assume he meant Webster even though he quoted the half back post

I still think Hulls middle are collectively better than ours and Radders has got their technical skills well tuned
Their strength in contact is something we need to learn from.
Speed around the ruck in the D to offloads to their ability to make yards are an element we could improve on.
