Good Luck Truey
Re: Good Luck Truey
Luke Gale faces a battle to get back in to the team after that performance from Jake
Re: Good Luck Truey
On way home now thinking about truemans debut and can't really get my head round it. Debut away at Wigan and thrown in literally.
Although he didn't grab the game buy the scruff of the neck and control like luke I though his contribution considering the situation of how his debut came about is incredible and the way he played was amazing.
This kid has some real talent and I'm sure will be in the squad for 2018 and will feature in the ilk of tom homes, absolutely no need to look for a half in the distant future .maybe being rash but I can't think of a debut like that for a youth player in 20 odd years of watching.

Re: Good Luck Truey
the last time we had debutant that scored 3 trys I think it was MAL Reilly how good must the lad be feeling , well done MR Trueman
Re: Good Luck Truey
Don't think it was Mal Reilly. If my memory serves Mal made his debut at Hunslet away (as a centre) scoring one try and then missing a goal near the end which would have tied the scores in a game we lost 12-10.gateman wrote:the last time we had debutant that scored 3 trys I think it was Mal Reilly how good must the lad be feeling , well done MR Trueman
Could be wrong but I think that was his debut, it was certainly the first time I saw Mal Reilly play and I didn't miss many.
Re: Good Luck Truey
He scored three solo trys to turn game are way when it mattered to do that on full debut at his age as good as it gets well done young man ...what a future kids got

Re: Good Luck Truey
A dream debut for the lad, absolutely fantastic performance from him that will not only give him huge confidence but also to the other young lads around the squad. A good pre season will do him the world of good too we've certainly no need to be looking for a replacement for Tom Holmes.
Re: Good Luck Truey
Great debut from the lad just watched his trys on sky , I am also a big fan of MC LELLAND his half back partner from the under 19s when he gets his chance he will not let us down , how good it is to be promoting lads from with in the club

Nice to hear Trueman getting a special mention on Radio 5's sports bulletin at 8.30 this morning. It's usually touch and go as to whether they even say what the results were!

I didn't hear it, but even the BBC are finding it hard to ignore us.

Re: Good Luck Truey
I feel sorry for the lad as his pockets must be brimming with the like of Williams, Leuluai and Tomkins rammed in there.

Re: Good Luck Truey
Tomkins is luck he is not on report for me. For JTs second try he looks like he attacks the back of his head with a clenched fist. It reminds me of what Raynor did to him a few years back.

cant see wane staying there much longer all the old players looking on must have been reminded how wigan used to be watching cas in second gear dismantle them...

So it wasn't his debut and he's not a Cas lad. Best throw him in the bin then.... Rubbish Jake, it's just just not good enough to dismantle the reigning champions, against a team packed full of international class, at only 18 years, stepping into fill the void of man of steel elect and having to go with a hooker as a half back partner. WE WANT MORE!
