Joe Wardle
Joe Wardle
As expected....
Joe Wardle signed for Cas. Officially announced by the club. I for 1 think it's a great signing. Can cover in the back row and will definitely help Webster's body next year giving him rest when needed.

Welcome Aboard Joe - enjoy the ride
Re: Joe Wardle
Doesn't need to start. Can be an impact sub. Playing him from the bench gives us the option to bring him on at centre or back row.fords wrote:He wants to be starting most weeks if we have paid a fee for him not filling inInTheKnow wrote:As expected....

Re: Joe Wardle
Very good signing for me. No nonsense, tough and uncompromising. No short of skill sets either. Well done.

Just need to announce a big forward now to add abit more size and power to our team and that would be a cracking team.c  oyfs
Re: Joe Wardle
I am with you a big hard prop forward to complement the lads we have in that position, if we could turn up a Dean Sampson Lee Crooks or Denis Hartley type how good would that be , welcome on board Joe

Re: Joe Wardle
Great news, I would expect he's the signing for monaghan so plenty of cap space from lynch, chase, Larroyer, inbegnion and crooks if times are correct he's staying at Leigh.
Re: Joe Wardle
People keep saying we need to sign a big nasty prop but we don't want one who is a penalty machine like some of these big nasty props some of the clubs have signed on.
Re: Joe Wardle
Why doesn't anyone ever ask for a "small, nice prop"???yorkie1bn wrote:People keep saying we need to sign a big nasty prop but we don't want one who is a penalty machine like some of these big nasty props some of the clubs have signed on.

Re: Joe Wardle
Give me one of the nicest blokes around (Millio) over any nasty prop any dayyorkie1bn wrote:People keep saying we need to sign a big nasty prop but we don't want one who is a penalty machine like some of these big nasty props some of the clubs have signed on.
Great signing for the club this. Look forward to seeing what he can do next year

Re: Joe Wardle
To be fair Massey is starting to show more aggression. One of the most improved players this season.jackknife wrote:We've already got masseyFumper27 wrote:Why doesn't anyone ever ask for a "small, nice prop"???yorkie1bn wrote:People keep saying we need to sign a big nasty prop but we don't want one who is a penalty machine like some of these big nasty props some of the clubs have signed on.

Re: Joe Wardle
I would just like to see more leg drive from Nat, same as Deano and Wardy and big D.

Re: Joe Wardle
Nat's job is to attack a post, attract defenders and get a quick play-the-ball, essentially to set up a position. I don't know the stat, but I would like to know how many tries we've scored this year following this set-up play. In my view the extra meter or two he may or may not gain is irrelevant, it's how quickly he gets to his feet.
Re: Joe Wardle
Totally this. It's great to go into contact with leg drive sometimes, but Massey sucks in players, finds his front and gets up and plays the ball quick when he's near the line. For our style of play, that's way better than someone going in upright and trying to win an arm wrestle and getting held on his feet slowing the ptb down.cogito ergo sum wrote:Nat's job is to attack a post, attract defenders and get a quick play-the-ball, essentially to set up a position. Think this is a great signing though. He's a big lad and will be great on our edge. I can see him being another big star for us.
