Really good read that.
Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
"For Trinity, Tonga prop David Fifita looks like he is enjoying the local cuisine..." loved that line.
Also interesting to note was the £20,000 hosting fee that SKY pay the home club for lost revenue. Fair bit of money into the club (I doubt we'd actually lose £20,000 just by being on SKY), so by being successful and being on the box more often = more exposure and more income for the club.

Some good coverage of the game in the broad sheets - it just tends to get a bit lost in the other stuffInTheKnow wrote:Really good read that.

Never read this website before. 2 real good reads there and I'm not usually a reading person.

This is a good app. Captures all news articles linked to our beloved club.InTheKnow wrote:Never read this website before. 2 real good reads there and I'm not usually a reading person.

Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
Two wins from our last EIGHT games guarantees a home game in the semi finals.
Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
If we don't win the LLS from here I don't think we ever will we may as well be 9 points clear at the top of the table our nearest rival only has fixtures against the top 8 (Leeds have Wigan twice) 5-8 can all still make the playoffs so will be fighting for that les cats is a dead rubber for them (still not to be underestimated tho) for me 2 wins gets us the LLS in my 26 years as a Cas fan that is something I didn't think I would say even though we were 1 win away in 2014

I'm 61 and been going since I was 3. I've been waiting for this to happen all my life.TT Tiger wrote:If we don't win the LLS from here I don't think we ever will we may as well be 9 points clear at the top of the table our nearest rival only has fixtures against the top 8 (Leeds have Wigan twice) 5-8 can all still make the playoffs so will be fighting for that les cats is a dead rubber for them (still not to be underestimated tho) for me 2 wins gets us the LLS in my 26 years as a Cas fan that is something I didn't think I would say even though we were 1 win away in 2014
Never thought I'd get to see the day.
I can't put into words how it's making me feel.
Still a bit cautious it might not happen.
Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
yeah and Leeds have won both so far. All it takes is for us to loose a couple and leeds win theirs and the gap is closed right down.TT Tiger wrote:If we don't win the LLS from here I don't think we ever will we may as well be 9 points clear at the top of the table our nearest rival only has fixtures against the top 8 (Leeds have Wigan twice) 5-8 can all still make the playoffs so will be fighting for that les cats is a dead rubber for them (still not to be underestimated tho) for me 2 wins gets us the LLS in my 26 years as a Cas fan that is something I didn't think I would say even though we were 1 win away in 2014
We need to go with full strength next Sat and take the 2 as this will be the easiest game of our next 8

Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
Not quite as long. Just over 30 years watching but feel exactly the same. Almost not enjoying games now. Just desperate for each to be ovet snd that LLS shield in the bag. Then I will enjoy the rest of the ride whatever happens. Just need that monkey off the back now but fear we will end up linping over the line!old cas lass wrote:I'm 61 and been going since I was 3. Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
If the league table stays the same do we have Leeds,Hull,Salford & Saints at home. Wakefield,Huddersfield & Wigan away in the super 8s?

Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
Potentially, a win next week and teams in 3 and 4 on 12 points lose and we are 14 points ahead and with our points difference, we are guaranteed a home draw and top 2.Fumper27 wrote:Two wins from our last EIGHT games guarantees a home game in the semi finals.
Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
So when's the realistic time we can clam the LS
Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
Earliest possible - week 2 of the Super 8s - providing that we win all three games, and Leeds lose 2/3 games.
More realistic - More like week 3-5 of Super 8s, depending on how well our winning run goes and Leeds' form.

Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
It would be nice to clinch it against Leeds!
Re: The run-in, permutations and possibilities
Could be done after week 1. A Leeds loss and Cas win clinches the LLS with 6 games to spare. It wouldn't be official but we would be 12 points clear with 6 to play and a far superior PD.

Let's just beat Leeds at home in round 1 to put it to bed!!!InTheKnow wrote:Could be done after week 1. A Leeds loss and Cas win clinches the LLS with 6 games to spare. It wouldn't be official but we would be 12 points clear with 6 to play and a far superior PD.
