Re: Hull Friday!
While we have to front up in the middle against them the kicking game needs to be spot on Friday. Vary the kicks to keep Hull guessing.
They remind me of the big Bradford sides of the noughties, great at the crash, bang wallop plan A type rugby but when some sides figure them out they drop to bits. For example how effective was Vainakolo on the wing when teams kicked behind him finding space?...its saps energy of a 17st man when he has to stop direction and turn around and chase the ball back!
Play smart and we will win this!

Agree kicking game is key. At Hull it was dire. Against Leeds Gale was class.duke street 10 wrote:While we have to front up in the middle against them the kicking game needs to be spot on Friday. Vary the kicks to keep Hull guessing.

Got to have high completion rate too and make them do some work. Really could go either way. Hull to just edge it or Cas to win 3 scores.
Re: Hull Friday!
Two wins for Hull both games we gave them start, we are at home if we score first and with the CAS Faithfull behind them all I can see is a CAS win, COME ON YE FORD
Re: Hull Friday!
Me too ...cue the small pitch is the reason ...
The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have

Going Turkey in October. Was offered a cracking deal for 2 weeks to leave 30th September. I was like sorry can't do that. The wife said why??? I said well...... I've been watching Cas 15 years since I was 12 and there's no way I'm missing what could be on the 7th October don't think she was best pleased.
Paid 200quid extra in end to fly out on 12th October

Re: Hull Friday!
Ive done the same lol. We fly on the on the 15th so we now miss her sisters actual wedding .
Re: Hull Friday!
like the two posts above the wife says my life works round CAS RLFC she knows we can only go away when we have a window, I am thinking of booking a few days holiday challenge cup semi final weekend now we are not involved
Re: Hull Friday!
Fly 15th also. Could have gone 8th but looking forward to the celebrations after we win
Re: Hull Friday!
As a Hull fan, I cannot wait for the game on Friday - think the atmosphere from both sets of fans will be immense.
There is a lot of reference to the small pitch, so surely that would aid Hull as it means it is more compact, playing into our big pack/backs?
Tough to call really, if we win then it could make you a little nervy for future games. If you win, then that is the LLS sewn up

Re: Hull Friday!
The small pitch references are a bit of a joke amongst the fans. We got through nearly 90 years on it without it being an issue then is was picked up in a televised match and suddenly Sky use it to explain all sorts of things.
Re: Hull Friday!
1st Vs 2nd
Can not wait for this one. Just hope we can get a win against them. Will need it for abit of confidence if we meet them in the play offs.

Re: Hull Friday!
All fit except Junior, Cook and Olly Holmes do we think?
What would you go with?
Hardaker
Minikin
Webster
Shenton
Eden
Roberts
Gale
Lynch
Mcshane
Millington
McMeeken
Massey
Milner
Springer
Patrick
JSL
T Holmes or Foster?
Hitchcox hard to leave out tbf. Need a strong bench. Not sure if Lynch will get a game or Foster.

Re: Hull Friday!
We need to start strong. We have gifted Hull leads we haven't been able to recover from so far. Best team to start and hope our bench can play their part.

This team looks so good with Moors, Cook, Oli Holmes, Larroyer, Hitchcox, Monaghan, Tom Holmes still not in.
If we get to full strength before the play offs it will be great to see who will make the 17.

Re: Hull Friday!
No lynch for me.hes been smashed both times v hull and done small minutes
I think he's gone physically and mentally. Springer does more damage but isn't as effective in the tackle.
