Just watched the 1970 cup final again, the first time since the actual game! Some interesting commentary, eg 100000 crowd paid a world record £90000. If you haven't seen it watch for Heppy taking Tyrer out with a flying elbow, and the way the "medical" team handled the situation. Poor sod has a broken jaw and they keep messing with it just to make sure, then two brawny players support him to the sidelines with his feet dragging. No head protocol in those days, just the magic sponge, which unfortunately was not magic in Tyrer's case. Not even a stretcher.
