I
Most teams rest players during these times. Look at the Widnes squad on Friday. 14 players out and not 1 recognised halfback playing. Dennis Betts said himself he has eyes on the next 2 home games. Sure enough when his squad is announced he has basically rested most of his first squad.

I'm sure Widnes is more to do with injuries than resting players.

Quite a few are yes but not all. Just go on the Widnes board and take a look. They are all saying how unfit there team must be for so many to be 'rested'.

We ought to have used this game to rest

Webster
McMeeken
Roberts
Moors

I'd wrap Roberts in cotton wool until the hull cup game if I'm honest! I know realistically you can't, but still, it's vital he l,abs in that game with Gale. He's a match winner.

Webster & Moors are not in 19 .............

No guarantee Roberts or Mcmeeken will even play yet

Looking at the Captains run photo, based on Webster wearing a green bib for this thought: Hardaker & Springer will be the 2 to miss out from the 19 man squad.

I wouldnt be suprised if Hardaker misses out. No need to risk him. Suprised if Springer doesnt play. Could of used this as the game to try and break into the 17 again. Cant see us keeping him if he cant make the squad for games like tomorrow where we rest players.

To me we should probably rest Hardaker over Roberts this game and then vice versa on Monday if they are both to be believed to be not quite 100%

Widnes

Roberts
Monaghan
Minikin
Shenton
Eden
Holmes
Gale
Lynch
McShane
Sene-Lefao
Larroyer
McMeekan
Milner

Cook
Massey
Springer
Millington (Play low minutes if he can, nasty bangs on head in last game)

Leigh

Hardaker
Minikin
Webster
Shenton
Eden
Holmes (Roberts back for Saints)
Gale
Lynch
McShane
Millington
Sene-Lefao
McMeekan
Milner

Cook
Massey
2 more from (Springer, Larroyer, Foster, Monaghan, Roberts at a Push)

Best guess and only a bit of fun as I am bored at work

you could use roberts second half at full back give zak a rest. keep holmes at half full game for experience, this game good to rotate injured players and test the fringe players out see where we are. play gill somewhere for a bit too. larroyer needs a full game too and springer

Changed my mind. If Roberts is fully fit, get him playing both games.

Build his form/timing back up.

If his injuries come back, we have time to bed in a half back pairing for the hull game.

Roberts needs to build again.
