So when are we going to take Leeds and Salford seriously

Post by Router1977 » 15 Apr 2017, 08:16

Been thinking for a long time that the Whinos seem to have turned the corner ever since we put 60 past them and makes me think they will be our nearest challenges come the business end if the year. Also Salford look good at present. This all coincides with both teams hammering Hull at the KCom in the last two games so as the Hull ship sank......?
All I know is if Cas keep winning and hopefully our nearest challenges take points of each other then we can be clear at the top.
The Hull game away is now massive for Hull more that Cas and the Leeds game at Magic weekend could make leeds serious contenders if they beat us but in all truth i can not see Cas loosing either. COYF

We need to keep taking everyone seriously.
The Salford result has shown we aren't invincible and we let 4 tries in yesterday
I'm just enjoying the ride at the moment

Dont't forget what Brian Mac said after the Cas game! His team can win the Grand Final. (Quote)

Agree with everything already said .
And although Salford are a good team , the conditions were a real leveller and it was a 1 point defeat so hardly a blip .
Don't think Leeds have the quality to challenge for silverware and think it will be us and Wigan for the grand final. Salford maybe get to Wembley depending on draw .

Salford and Leeds will be interesting to watch if they get a few bodies missing through injury.

I don't believe they have the squad depth and certainly not across the season to keep rotating. They may run out of steam towards the back end.

Leeds less so but they have a few older legs in key positions. Again will be interesting to see if they can keep the momentum across the season.

I don't think Leeds were ever the same team without Sinfield as life after him has shown
Wigan have a similar O'Loughlin syndrome

We're going to have a period where we lose back to back games. It happens to every team.

We need to take games as they come.

Soon after the Saints game, or after the hull game even, I think we'd benefit from a team meeting to discuss where we're at, ask players to air their opinions on what's working/not working (!) and gel as a unit even more. A review and a relaxation period. Massages, chill out, pamper (hate that word), team meal/night out.

In other words, nearly at mid season, and following a tough Easter schedule, I think we should have a couple of days break together as a squad.

Maybe in between Saints and Hull games.or soon.

Isn't that pretty much rehab after a match .
Fairly sure they discuss where there at fairly often.
