I guess we'll check on fitness of a few later on in the week. Anyone who is 50/50 won't be risked. For me, I think the two to drop out will be Springer and Massey all being fit.

Hardaker
Minikin
Webster
Monaghan
Eden
Roberts
Gale
Lynch
McShane
Millington
Holmes
McMeeken
Milner

Cook
Sene-Lefao
Moors
Chase

Like at Wigan, Minikin will play centre with Monnas at Wing.

I would go with this. If Millo or Moors cant play then simple straight swap for Springer or Massey

Don't think he as lurcher
Bit of a worry when you have back spasms, I have them now and again.
It stops you dead on the spot and you can't move. Very painful.

Shenton back injury - done light training this week. Will probably give him until kick off and if he makes it, will replace Monaghan in the team. Suspect we're not risking him and will play him at Saints on Monday instead.

I would agree but as I pointed out earlier in the week, Johnstone will be on Wakey's left wing. As such, I'd prefer someone a bit quicker on that side as a precaution.

Having Monaghan in the centre is actually a good thing. We could move him out to the wing for Wakey kicks and then have Eden as the supporting player for any broken-field running or for the quick PTB after.

No way could I leave Cook out of our 17 when he as come on he as always given 100%, the one who is not cutting the mustard for me at the moment is Gadwin he does a couple of great carries then seems to disappear only to be taken off, It would be nice to see the Gadwin of old again

Agree gateman, Cook in for me. Gadwin just doesn't seem 100% to me at the moment

What you've got to remember is that last year Gadwin came of the bench against very tired props so looked incredible
Now hes starting hes doing the same job lynch and millington did.

If you want to see Gadwin "of old" start him on the bench and have him run at a tired huby and fafita.

Every player looks great against tired opposition

Looks like Wakefield have put there strongest squad out.
Gonna be one hell of a game.
Hope the ref is strong and doesn't spoil it.

I was basing my comment on last week, when he did come off the bench against Wigan, Massey and Cook started at prop. Looked better than when he has started, but as you say a different role, but not the impact that he was having. I don't think he's 100%

Wakefield have all but sold their allowance. We've sold nearly 8k so I guess we'll be around 9 now plus their speccies.

Read their forum earlier - some rather amusing thread about how half of their team is better individually than ours...it raised a smile over a brew this lunchtime.

I expect us to come and be ready to play a slow grinding game of attrition just like Kear loves to play. We either pinch it in low scoring game by a small margin or our game plans fall to pieces and we get walloped. I notice Cas have been slow starters and conceded first on a few occasions, it might be worth backing a Wakey player for 1st try scorer or a Wakey penalty for 1st scoring play. Watch for Tommy Johnstone he was on fire against Widnes, who will he be up against?
