Yeah, Widnes are a solid team. Run Wigan close, drew with Cats away - not a gimme like Leeds was by any stretch.

Boys need to be on their game, but I think we'll have enough on that fast pitch. Cas by 8.

If we play to our potential, same as Leeds. Then I can see another big score line.
I'm sure Widnes will come at us that first 20, once we are in our stride there won't be any stopping us.......I hope.

Cas by 20. Think our attack will be on fire. Rangi will have a right game as has something to prove.

Agree. After Wire and Leeds it's easy for us supporters to fall into the trap of thinking that this is a formality.

We won't find DP in that trap. If the players have the mind space right we will beat them as we have superior fire power.

Can't wait.

As much as I'd love this, it might end up better for us in the long run if we are run close. Give the players a quick reminder to be on their game for a run of fixtures before Wigan that we should be targeting all wins from.

You can all shoot me down, but I think we're in real danger of losing this one.

Not because we've suddenly become poor overnight, but
Widnes are a desperate team, in front of their own fans. Their intensity will be right up there and they'll have a flawless completion rate and solid safe gameplan.

Heart says Cas by 10
Head says there will be 2 points in it either way, and with Widnes as per above, i fancy them to topple us and really start their season.

Perhaps I'm too long in the tooth to believe we've really got a 'team' after so many dashed dreams and hopes.

Do we? Do we REALLY have the Team we've coveted for so many many years? Or are we getting carried away.

Are we as strong as Wigan? Hull? Saints? Are we REALLY? lol.

It's safe to say we'll also be bringing in another player during the season too. I'd loved to have seen Zeb Taia finish off our pack.

This will be no walk in the park, I really rate their two hookers both can be very dangerous near the line keep these two in check and its game to Cas, I will go Cas 24_Widnes 12

They are 1 dimensional with no half backs, and in defence they shoot out of the line to put hits on players, our backs on that fast track will tear them apart. We just have to watch ah van against Minikin, look what he did the Gibbo the other year.

I just can't see this match being too close as Cas is oozing with quality just now all over the park. I think Widnes are around the same type of level as Leigh and Cas thumped them ! So playing away on that rubber mat, I'd go Widnes 15 Cas 34

Widnes are a pretty slow team and don't have any half backs. Cas should win easily.

Arguably the boldest prediction yet. When are Widnes slotting that one over?
