Larne Patrick
Larne Patrick
Does anyone know the problem?
For me, Larne hasn't hit any kind of form for us yet. How long has he been with us? Do we think he'll make it or become a casualty similar to Crooks.
I'm not bagging him!
Ps, does anyone think Crooks will ever return? He scored an excellent try v Leeds and his hair style has developed and improved dramatically.

Re: Larne Patrick
He's injured.
We're one game into the season.
Last year he went ok for us, how on earth is an injured player supposed to find form one game into a season when he's not played a game?

If you can use your brain cell to reread, it will note that I was referring to last season. He's played 11 games for us.Squaddie86 wrote:He's injured.

Amen to the brain cell. You're special.

For me Crooks will never return simply not good enough for a side wanting top 4 every season

Re: Larne Patrick
I think Larne is a solid, dependable player. He seemed to lose a lot of confidence at Huddersfield. But he's very mobile and that's what we need in our forward pack. I can actually see him running a lot of the right edge plays.Mysterio wrote:Does anyone know the problem?

Like any other member of our squad, he deserves our support. Injuries can come at the wrong time. It would have been nice to have got a full pre-season out of him and working under DP's structure rather than one he knew from Huddersfield.
Give him a chance.

I thought he was ok for us last year and started improving before he got injured once he is back upto speed I think he will be a valuable squad member

Yes - we need to give him a chance. We haven't seen what he can do yet.

Why the personal insults? No need.Mysterio wrote:If you can use your brain cell to reread, it will note that I was referring to last season. He's played 11 games for us.Squaddie86 wrote:He's injured.

Correct he played last season and he was a solid replacement during our injury crisis. So why are you questioning his form when he's currently injured?
How can you question the form of an injured player?
To be honest your need to resort to insults tells me all it needs to about your thought process.

Re: Larne Patrick
I am a big fan of Patrick. Mobile, decent hands, runs good lines, strong in defence, consistent and hard as nails.
I've never seen him have a bad game playing for Huddersfield, Wigan or us.
Although we have a strong squad, I'd have him in my first choice starting 17.

I'm a fan of Larne too, and look forward to him getting back to fitness and fighting his way into the squad.

Re: Larne Patrick
According to DP he's had a set back with his injury.
Might need a 2nd operation on his wrist.
