Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
Re: Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
AS anything been posted by the club confirming this ?? if so I am sure the club will have recall as with Tom Holmes and big Will who are also at Batley on season long loan
Re: Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
I've heard we're after Johnston from the dingles, don't know if it's true or not.
what doesn't kill me simply makes me...stranger.
Re: Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
if we did go for a replacement Johnston would be one of the first on my shopping list, but as I have not seen anything official RE Hitchcox I will not hold my breath
Re: Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
I trust DP knows exactly what he's doing and there'll be another winger coming and of course, technically Denny is still a Cas player and under contract to us.

Obviously we are clearing the decks for another winger my guess is mantalato but whoever it turns out to be I trust Powells judgement 100%

Only Batley have announced this and interestingly, Halifax claim Manning is still their player. Have Batley jumped the gun here ?

Hitchcox has confirmed it on his own social media.Tigerade wrote:Only thing I can find on it is here :-Fumper27 wrote:Isn't this just a rumour as nothing official anywhere???HuddsTigers wrote:Hitchcox has signed season long loan at Batley

Still saying he's with cas tigers on his Twitter account.
Unless he's just not changed it yet.

Very strange, he retweeted it yesterday. Assume Cas told him to remove it.old cas lass wrote:Still saying he's with cas tigers on his Twitter account.

Not sure why we are letting all these people out on loanHuddsTigers wrote:Hitchcox has signed season long loan at Batley

Denny will be going at some point.
We are looking very light in the backs now especially the wings. Are we bringing others in or taking a chance ? We have a real opportunity to make the top 4 or win something next year but not if we keep letting players go.
Re: Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
We've surely got £100k + freed up on the cap.
I think it's just a matter of time before we sign a winger.

yes leaving us very light in reserve now. i think he has alot of potential this lad and im worried with solomona leaving, monaghan simply wont be good enough on the wing. so we need another winger asap for me. simple as that.

Re: Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
Maybe they have seen enough already of Egogo and know he can make a big impact on the wing ? He was signed as a centre but looks to be built in the Mcgillvery/ Hall mode.
Weren't we previously linked with the winner of an Aussie rugby talent competition as well.
One things for sure, there's an age to go before the first game so keep your powder dry boys and trust in Daryl

Whatever the ins and outs are for Cas, I am assuming this is good news for JY as it indicates his health is improving.

Re: Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
It looks like we have already three players at Batley , Batley could be the place to go on a Sunday when we have played midweek , I think the other year they did a discount for session ticket holders from super league clubs, I hope they do it this year it will give our fans some incentive to watch our players progress helping Batley at the same time
Re: Hitchcox joins Batley on loan
Agree, look very light in 3/4's, particularly as there is every chance Joel Monaghan will miss as many as he plays. Plus Jake Webster, as good as he has been for us, is now at an age where he won't be able to play every game of a long 34 / 35 game season plus. Indeed up to last season he generally always missed a good few, even with HKR. If we then got a serious injury to any of the others we could be in a bit of trouble. And I don't subscribe to the view, well McMeeken etc can play there. Well yes he can, but ideally you want him in the back row and contesting for a place there. He's not a specialist centre.classysupercas wrote: yes leaving us very light in reserve now. i think he has alot of potential this lad and im worried with solomona leaving, monaghan simply wont be good enough on the wing. so we need another winger asap for me. simple as that.
So I said to the Taxi driver, "King Edwards Close". He replied "It's alright we'll lose him at the next set of lights".
