As I said Leeds messing up about just as we had agreed a deal. Don't know what has happened just know it's enough for Gill and DP to stick the two fingers up and walk away. (For now)

We do right to look after ourselves if this is what's happened but Gary Hetherington after years of being a shrewd business man is really starting to lose the plot !!!! Let's hope we have someone else in mind

I dont think the squad is ever finished, all coaches will always look to improve there squad as the season develops. Im fairly happy with our starting 17 n think we have about 5-6 players that can fill into that 17 without losing any skill from the team.

Obviously hardaker would improve our squad.

I'm happy with the squad on paper too just still think we're one or two away from winning something but with the team complete we shall see and hope I'm wrong !!!

yes i totally agree that we need another two quality signings to win something. hardaker would be one of them. get 5 or 6 injured again at a time and the squad weakens somewhat.alot of the squad untried in superleague yet

Huddersfield offered more than our 90k haven't they but we won't match it

Can't be held to ransom.

I'd prefer us to offer £90k for Rhys Hanbury (just an example) who we KNOW would fit into our attacking structure.

Full back in our team is crucial to our attacking game.

I keep saying it - Hardaker is average attacking wise!

Ben Roberts and Phil Eden both offer more anyway in attack.

If you look at how Solomona performed in the FB role in attack; you'd see similar effectiveness from Zak?

Agreed. It's not like we desperately need him. But he would improve our defence big time.

Quite rightly so if true, even though I personally would like to see us get ZH. However not at the expense of being fleeced for a player who will never play for his present club again, and who of course has plenty of potential baggage, even though in our environment I think he could well be rehabilitated.

I was told we actually offered 150k, which was accepted, but then Leeds moved sticks for another reason, other than Huddersfield. However I don't know how entirely accurate that version is, even though it came from a pretty decent source. So I am happy to go along with the 90k - Huddersfield version.

Whatever, IMO we don't want to be getting involved in a bidding war, nor stumping up a large amount of cash for a player who now has question marks surrounding him. He could easily be a sensation with us and back to what he was, but equally not. If Huddersfield have indeed offered much more than us, then fair enough let them have him, forget it and move on.

So I said to the Taxi driver, "King Edwards Close". He replied "It's alright we'll lose him at the next set of lights".

I was thinking more of his post-career activities.
