19 man squad for sunday

Post by tigersfan » 29 Apr 2016, 14:26

Matt cook
ben crooks
connor fitzsimmons
luke gale
ryan hampshire
jy hitchcox
lee jewitt
andy lynch
will maher
nathen massey
mike mcmeeken
paul mcshane
grant millington
junior moors
joel monaghan
gadwin springer
denny solomona
jake webster

id go with:-

1)Hitchcox
2)Monaghan
3)Crooks
4)Webster
5)solomona
6)hampshire
7)gale
8 ) Lynch
9) Milner
10)Millington
11) Mcmeeken
12) Moors
13) Massey

14) Mcshane
15)Jewitt
16) Springer
17) Cook

by the look of the 19 id say its going to be a very strong pack game a lot of big lands in both teams, but again with out young Tom Holmes, and no tickle or Patrick or Minikin, i am starting to wonder if we are saving players for next weeks challenge Cup because personally Holmes,Minikin,Patrick and tickle should be in the 19 before Fitzsimmons. but im not the coach the lad must be putting some serious effort in training to keep getting picked.

looking forward to our "bounce back game" COYF

Anyone who has been dropped before Monaghan has a fair reason to be annoyed

Is Tickle even fit???

Keeping Minikin for next week? hes been loaned out to Batley along with Ryan Boyle. Minikin for me has been excellent this year and personally i would have him on the wing instead of Monaghan. I cannot understand why we have loaned him out whilst still short of players!! Doubt if Tickle will be fit enough yet but thought he may have made the bench. If we are keeping players for the challenge cup does that mean we have given up on the league already? Does Powell think we cant beat Saints?

Minikin sat down with Powell and said he struggled with the general aspects of being a SL player last week, as did T.Holmes against Wigan.

Well Moley is incorrect , misquotes such as these can very damaging to a young players reputation , which is to say the least unfair .

Not really what it said that though says they had tough games not that they were struggling. I'm not saying they didn't I thought thornley gave minikin a tough time last week not helped though by the man either side of him as for Tom Holmes I think he's a better bet than Hampshire and also that Hampshire is better at full back than Denny and then Denny could have carried on in his fav position at full back think Powell made a mistake last weekend moving our back line about IMO

I agree betts 21, all it said was he had a hard game and he'll learn from it... listened to it twice just didn't hear where it said 'he wasn't coping with aspects of being a superleague player'.... must have missed that bit!! :?

Love how nobody believed you. Most Cas fans have their rose tinted glasses on and believe everything is ok with the young guys.

Players like Holmes and Minikin are going to struggle a little with so much pressure put on them in their first superleague season. It will do them no harm resting from Superleague for a few week. Holmes and Minikin started like a house on fire but went quiet after a few games. Powell knows what hes doing and they will come back better when called upon.

I honestly believe Powell knows the top 4 is gone. Hull, Catalan, Wire and Wigan look like nobody will catch them. Possibly Saints now they are getting players back from injury, so resting players for Salford next week is a good shout. Then when we get players back we will have enough to make the top 8 too.
