Thats just the way I see it.I don't mind building a squad for the future but wouldn't it be nice to get a Glenn Stewart, Dave Taylor,Ryan Hinchcliffe, Frank Pritchard,Keith Galloway or Kurt Gidley. Someone with a real reputation in the NRL, who can bring on our players to the next level.
By that reckoning you'd have been over the moon with Sandow or Ashton Sims for example - they haven't exactly cut it have they?
Simms had been good for wire in his first season. Played long minutes and really packs a punch. He'll only get better.

Sandow will come good, 6 weeks just of a plane is pretty tough, but I did expect better tbh.

Either of them would walk into our starting 13.

Nikau and Blackmore were our highest rated players when they came and internationals. Kemp became one with us.

It's a pity we can't get players like that now when most super league teams can.

I've noticed in all his interviews this week he keeps saying " for a year " as if it's some kind of penance.

It's like " I've just lost my licence " for a year or

" I've been sent down " for a year or

" I've got to live with the in- laws " for a year

Not very positive! !!!

Or perhaps it is because it is just for a year?
