haven't passed the site myself but there have been reports on cas tigers facebookers page that work has started with access roads for portacabins, etc.

I think I caught a glimpse of a JCB on the site from the M62 earlier today.

There been work on there on the Townvile side of the site two muck roads been dug up there preparing for cabins to go on it.

been announced tonight of Steve Gill at supporters meeting that work starts Monday I am not at the meeting but people I know are.

where the cas ground was going to be, they are halfway through a car supermarket! i saw it this week next to the big medical warehouse near glasshoughton train station car park,

Seams that Steve gill never did say that the stadium starts Monday the lad who put it all over FB got it wrong :oops: :oops: least we got 2 muck roads :lol:

announcement about the ground at 6pm tomorrow. expected to say work will commence in spring next year.

Was told over the weekend that it will not start until next year, so spring sounds about right. I also understand 3 major retailers are now signed up.

As we've had so many false dawns on the stadium front I'm generally a bit sceptical and have been about this one as well to some degree, although it's always sounded more likely to get going. However, the amount that has been ploughed in to getting planning approval alone is huge and is enough to convince me it will be built.

Throwing all their weight/sponsorship money into creating a 'haribo' cycling team apparently so would be surprised if they came on board.

Would be a high profile and some pretty decent sponsorship if it were to happen though.

New huge manufacturing plant one junction away from new stadium and very high profile

Im sure whatever sponsorship they could do would be welcomed with open arms
