Well earned break.

Post by old cas lass » 28 Jul 2015, 09:29

According to DP the boys are taking a well earned break this coming week.

On the coaches orders the boys have gone to refresh their bodies and their minds ahead of the Super 8's.

Can't believe Powell as rewarded them with time off after the poor attitude shown against Wire in what was a crucial game.

Certainly didn't look like brid.

As long as they are sensible and relax don't suppose it will do them any harm.

I think this is a good move. They have worked hard all year. Why not give them a little break. Hopefully the players will appreciate what DP has done and show him on the field when they get back.

Have a break, clear their heads and rest up then next week get stuck in for a massive 7 weeks

The attitude on sunday wasnt acceptable but aslong as its a one off and theyre raring to go next game the fine by me

A tired group that need a break, get a break...can't complain about that.

Some players have stayed and gone training too, Ryan Bailey amongst them.

As far as I am concerned it's a very well earned break.

The guys had to work hard this season given all the changes and from day 1 the priority for me was avoiding the bottom four. Job jobbed.

A break is exactly what is needed, we are only 2 points off Hudds and the semis so coming back fresh and raring to go gives us the best chance of that 4th spot.

I'm looking forward to watching the middle 8s which I think will be great and all the better for us not being involved!

Mission accomplished with a top 8 finish so cant fault DP for saying go and recharge the batteries it also shows the Coach has trust in the players to do it right and come back raring to go, could be a very smart move.

Good move as far as I'm concerned, don't see how anyone can criticise it really.

I thought at the time that he should have taken them all away to relax & do some warm weather training before the cup final last season and go straight to London on the Thursday. To get away from the pressure/build up in the town.
removed post it again and you will join them on a 48 hour ban read the AUP

Well earned as far as I am concerned as well. On the whole the group, after all of the changes and injuries, have done us proud in the regular season. They deserve a few days to recharge the batteries, and by DP giving them this it shows his appreciation and trust. They'll come back firing for the 8's I'm sure.

The break will do them good, most will be carrying knocks, and to get away from the game for a week will do them the world of good. Everyone needs a break from work at some time
