Away Kit
Does anyone have any idea / clue / guess as to which match we'll take to the field in it ?!?!
I can only think of possibly Salford away but even then Red & Tango don't really clash ... though we've worn our "white" kit in recent away clashes (incl. Wembley) -v- Whinos.

Re: Away Kit
I think we'll see a lot more of the "away" top once it gets warm. Lighter colours are much better in heat for players.

Salford & Hull KR?. I suspect it will be worn at Leeds & Warrington too...not that they really need to.

Re: Away Kit
This was why I raised the thread. Actually seems like there's no need for an "away" kit, though I'm sure that when it does get an airing it will look better than that which we're having to get used to week in week out. And which remains dreadful.

Re: Away Kit
It isnt home or away kits. Only us fans associate them as that.
They are principal and alternative kits. So it is no surprise the principal kit is worn more.

Re: Away Kit
That isn't the club's decision, they get told by the RFL which kits to wear.da_jimbob_7 wrote:Our alternative kit had a lot of action last year though.HuddsTigers wrote:It isnt home or away kits. Only us fans associate them as that.

Admittedly, we are the worst out of all 12 clubs wearing it 20 out of 23 times but all the sides wear their primary kit more. Some are even wearing third kits throughout the season too.
Principal/Third Alternative
Castleford 20 3
Catalans 18 5
Huddersfield 13 10
Hull FC 17 6
Hull KR 16 7
Leeds 15 8
Salford 17 6
St Helens 15 8
Wakefield 16 7
Warrington 19 4
Widnes 14 9
Wigan 14 9

Re: Away Kit
The club call them that as fans associate them as that.speedy wrote:Dear Deirdre = OMG been on web site shop and no Alternative Kits for sale, plenty of Away kits though what shall I do
However, clubs are meant to have a Principal kit and an alternative kit as per the RFL Rules/Kit Directives.
In terms of kits, these are the rules:
"The specification shall include full details of principal and alternative playing strip including shirts, shorts and socks, pantone reference numbers and dimensions of all logos."
"the alternative strip has a different base colour to the principal kit;"
B1:26
In deciding whether to approve a kit the RFL shall take into account whether the principal and alternative kit meet B1:25(b) above. In addition the RFL will consider whether the proposed design is sufficiently different to the kit proposed to be worn by other teams in the same competition(s) and the match officials’ strips. The RFL may instruct that a Club has two different coloured pairs of shorts or socks to go with a principal or alternative strip. In order to reach its decision the RFL may require a manufacturer to provide a swatch of the exact colours which will be used in the kit.
B1:27
The RFL will decide on approval of kits in the order received, however in reaching its decision it may take into account the traditional colours of another Club, notwithstanding the above if a kit is received after other kits it may be refused if kits already received mean that it will not distinguish between teams sufficiently.
B1:28
Each Club shall provide the RFL with one full principal and one full alternative kit immediately such kit is received from the manufacturer. Should a kit differ from the kit for which approval has been granted the Club may be ordered to have it remanufactured to the specification which has been approved.
B1:29
The RFL may order a Club, or a Club may request permission, to produce a third playing kit in any one season.

Re: Away Kit
Noticed one team this year had two league kits, a kit for playing in the cup and a kit for Magic Weekend. Can't remember who it was though (Catalans?)HuddsTigers wrote: B1:29

Leeds and Wakefield are also wearing third kits this season. (Wakefield at Magic against us)

Re: Away Kit
Hull fc have already released the magic weekend kit they'll be wearing too
Dont see logic of been forced to have an alternative(away) kit but then told not to hardly wear it
