whats happened to ollie

Post by lurcher » 12 Mar 2015, 23:25

ollie was superb last season and with another season on his back i was tipping him to go on to be one of the best all round forwards in super league this year. the opposite has happened and he had a stinker tonight.

Maybe weve just set our expectations a bit too high on him now??

He had a good season last season, he's nothing special. Was never going to be a world beater. He is not super league standard, he is average in an average pack.

Probably because he's playing with a hernia?

He has been since preseason.

He shouldn't, no.

What I was told a week before the season was the club asked him to play the first 2 games with it and then get the op - missing St Helens & Wigan...from memory he missed neither of them and Mariano and/or Jewitt aren't back either so I'm guessing it got delayed a bit?

I was also mystified by junior playing last night when he was supposed to have popped a rib cartilage last week, perhaps he wasn't fully fit either?

Ollie seemed to back to doing what he does best so maybe the injury doesn't effect him as much as we think? Massive improvement in him last night. So glad as I was raving about him and millington last year and expected them to be contending for player of year this year.
