Weaknesses/Strengthening

Post by Mysterio » 06 Dec 2014, 16:20

Anyone care to state where they think we're weaker and need someone to step up and/or bring someone else in.

I'm concerned we may not be mobile enough in the pack, and could also do with a high quality centre to alternate with Webbo (age/injuries)

I'd love to have managed to get Vea who Saints got for the pack, but Centre's appear to be a valuable commodity at the moment..

Dealing with attacking kicks from opposition was a particular problem last year. We need to get protection for whoever is underneath the high ball. Far too many times Dorn or the wingers were left on their own to deal with high kicks. Also we need to be able to kick out of dummy half, which all the top teams do particularly well to get you on the front foot.

I think we need a big nasty prop or 2nd row. There were a few games last year when things weren't going our way where a couple of big hits by a Dean Sampson or Ronnie Gibbs type character might have turned things around.
I like to think of us as Classy Cas playing champagne footy but it never hurts to have a hard case in the ranks.

I say leave it to the coaching staff, they know the players better than any body else.

id say were a prop forward light with huby leaving although a mate of mine who is a fev fan recons crossley will be able to step up and replace him. he said he wasnt the same player at fev once he'd signed for cas and could be why he looked useless in the final against leigh. i hope hes right but if hes not we will be light at prop
