he only made one run with his 1st touch and didnt take them on again. we'll need him to do more against the aussies and all blacks. i bet hes worth 10 times more than what wire paid for him now.

Glimpses of what to expect took a ball towards end bumped off and got a half gap was playing as the second half really with Stanley been the lead half would imagine that will change next year. He goes at the line well and feeds a good ball could see this been good for likes of our back row crashing through the line. Thought shenton bar one tackle had a really strong game. Wasn't a pretty game but no warm up matches a fairly new squad together lots of youth I liked that they gt through it and dug in at the end thought smith and widdop controlled well in parts and will get better with more game time together be nice to have an old head in oloughing back in next game hopefully and I still fail to see how j tomkins got in over whitehead

I think Tomkins gets in because he is a Tomkins and a Wigan player not for his prowess as a player

Once again Casforum shows that the fans don't deserve good players at Cas. Never happy with anyone unless it's a local lad.

Still, what is this place without people having a moan?

Opening game against England he did ok. I'll be happy with him in the 2015 Cas team.

BTW i wouldn't have minded the Samoa number 14 playing for us.

Roberts didn't look to get involved when Samaoa was well on top , a few kicks down the line but created nothing. Roberts could well be another Rudder signing( a player looking good playing alongside a world class half) hopefully he will show more in the next few games.

Would think if Craig Bellamy thinks Ben Roberts is good enough to be picked week in week out for Melbourne Storm he will be more than capable to play as D Powell will expect of him lets see him six games in before judgement is given ??

Looked ok, nothing to flash, decent kicking game and played up to the line. Could be a good partnership with gale next year.

I guess it all depends on how hes been asked to play.

Playing for your club and playing for your country are two entirely different things

he kicked reasonably well and his defence is solid
shame he didnt have a few tilts with ball in hand purely from a Cas POV.

Roberts won't be facing a line up like England's each week, massive gap between international and club rugby. If he is good enough for the NRL he is good enough for SL.

I thought Ben played well. I only noticed charnley, Watkins and Smith in small bursts. Meaning, in some part, the left side of the defence did okay. Ben leads that side well.

I like what I've seen of Ben so far, he has all the attributes to become one of the top halves in the British game, especailly taking the Daryl Powell factor into consideration.
I think next season has the potential to see us move up another notch and see ourselves seriously competing for major honours once again.

Had a fantastic game this morning in a narrow defeat to the kiwis. Kicked the ball really well in general play and set up a lovely try with a pinpoint kick. His defence was outstanding. four or five try savers with great one on ones. Really unlucky Samoa not to win.

Kiwis vs. Toa Samoa (Four Nations @ Whangarei 201…: http://youtu.be/pRqFZ2IZ59Q

Super little grubber kick from Benny Roberts
watch out for one of the best hand offs your ever likely to see by their juggernaut centre

unlucky Samoa

Roberts made one mistake in the game but was excellent throughout including the pinpoint kick for a try. One mistake against the team that easily beat Australia last week is outstanding.

Ben plays the left side of the field so well, he'll be brilliant for us. Given the freedom to run the leftside for Cas will bring his game on even further.

A little bit of a disappointment for me. simple pass and catch with ball in hand, doesn't take the line on and kicks fairly well on last option play. A long way to go for me.
