Re: steve crossley
Looks very average not the player I was expecting let's hope Powell can make something of him.
Re: steve crossley
Don't think that was a great game for him probably one of the worst props there but who knows full time environment let's hope it brings him back t his break through year at bulls when he look big and aggressive.

Re: steve crossley
He didn't have to bust a gut tonight, possibly going through the motions due to next season's move (as we saw with many of our squad). RFL really need to change all transfer activity/squad movement to the close season, mid season announcements aren't helping anyone.
Re: steve crossley
I agree, I was expecting a more dominant performance from Crossley, I was certainly expecting him to be the best prop on the pitch , & he wasn't . He was always 3rd man in the tackle, where as I like props who lead the line and are first to make contact. The positive with him from yesterday was , he seemed to play a lot of minutes and has very good fitness for a big lad. Who knows with a good pre season into him he could be a decent signing, can't help thinking he's just a cover signing for when we pick up injuries in that area. Very much a player like Boyle, I would personally have liked to see bigger player at prop both in name and size.

See your point about players going through the motions when their is nothing to play for but when there is a grand final medal at stake I don't think any player would take it easy.Andrew6666 wrote:He didn't have to bust a gut tonight, possibly going through the motions due to next season's move (as we saw with many of our squad). When a Fev fan I know was describing Crossley he sounded like he was describing Boyle under Matterson's stewardship.Jugadores wrote: Very much a player like Boyle, I would personally have liked to see bigger player at prop both in name and size.
He will get fitter no doubt but not expecting him to make the levels of Huby....bench prop at best. Think Moors or Millington will end up as starting prop in 2015

Lynch, jewitt, massey, wheeldon, boyle then crossley
millington is great at 13 and moors will replace hauraki, lets leave players were their best

If Massey is one of our props next year then we are in bother. We need another big front rower.the machine wrote:Lynch, jewitt, massey, wheeldon, boyle then crossley

Spot on duke street. Lynchy's not getting any younger either, for me too it's an area where we are in danger of being found wanting.duke street 10 wrote: If Massey is one of our props next year then we are in bother. We need another big front rower.
