Re: Camera work.
If this got up and running would the club lose money from people not attending and taking the cheaper option of watching it on DVD or on line ?
Re: Camera work.
Might be a risk but if you dont make it avail ible until monday after game it should be minimal.

Re: Camera work.
HT, does the £15k refer to annual costs to set up such an operation? If so that is a low cost option.HuddsTigers wrote:If anyone wants to carry this forward then I'd be more than happy to share this. A lot of this comes down to time; existing staff have little of it, and if you get other people in to do a full-time job creating video content, you're effectively wiping out the money you make unless you can make more than £15k.
Posters on here have put a lot of ideas forward to create a great opportunity it would be such a shame if the club/supporters that have these skills cannot get this sorted for next season.
I liked the comment about extending it to cover away games.

Re: Camera work.
That's just the salary of a full-time member of stuff to come into the Media team and do all this stuff. It's a full time job in itself and I'd say requires someone with experience putting together quality content.
In the spirit of the final Blackadder episode - Goooodbyeee!
Re: Camera work.
There wont be many people with the skills to do a full time job, who would do it for £15k ????

Re: Camera work.
There's more people with editing skills without a job in the field than ones in it, it wouldn't just be the 15k for them - the experience on the CV works wonders.
So, to price it up and where money could come from:
Editor = £15k p/a
Cameras x3 = ~£2040 (sponsorship can cover this)
A good editing PC = £700-£1000 (could approach Gibson Computers or someone like it here and again go the sponsorship route, if not it comes out of the subscriptions)
Website setup + servers = ????
So you're looking at about 18.5k-19k for the first year, take away what sponsors can contribute and sell in-content ads to further subsidies the content, 1000 subs @ £60 each is £60k too, that's not too bad at all.
