Whats the problem with Tansey? Is Webster injured yet again?

Wonder if DP will start with Sneyd at full back or Clare or Owen, what a squad so many options.

I'd imagine Webster is been rested after a busy game Friday, to play Monday.

Is tansey still banned ? Sneyd to FB is an option he played well there against Batley in the second half.

I'm was already nervous about the trip over the common, but even more so now. The prospect of Owen or Clare at full back and wakey bombing them all game is a massive concern for me. I just hope we can get carney plenty of good early ball.

Squad for Friday you mean?

It's not a bad option playing with all 3 halfbacks. Sneyd at fullback in defence. Not sure this will happen. I heard somewhere that Justin Carney took a knock and may not play??

I'd probably throw Owen at Fullback and partner Shenton up with Clare and Channing with Carney. Keeps it more safe outwide instead of having Clare and Channing together.

Has to be Owen at full back if Dorn and Tansey are unavailable. I wouldnt want to go changing things that dont need to be changed. Leave Sneyd and Finn in the halves, Clare out wide, Owen has played full back for many seasons so is used to it - slot him in at full back.

I think the team you have picked his about right for me, I wouldn't change the half-backs because there playing well & getting the team round the park, but if the fans who say Carney has turned his ankle, then the team picks it's self, unless Mr Powell plans on playing Frank'y Mariano in the centres.

I hope Jake Webster is only rested, so he can play on the Monday, I hope beyond hope that he hasn't got another injury.

Hoping its just resting a niggle rather than risk further injury

For me its got to be Owen or Clare at FB, we must have Sneyd pulling the strings at Half back, no way can we afford to take him away from that role to play FB, I can't see DP shifting him.
We have a big enough squad to keep players in their proper position, I wouldn't even be surprised to see one of the first choice props rested.
Daz Clarke on the pitch for as long as possible please.
If winning isn't everything why do they keep score?

5.carney
6.finn
7.clark

11.holmes
12.weller
13.millington
14.ellis
15.huby
16.mariano

I can't see us playing Sneyd at full-back or you are tiring all three halves over the weekend in one game. Clare is described as a potential class full-back by Steve Gill so I'd go with him.

I'd play - injuries permitting.

Friday/Monday:

Clare/Tansey
Owen/Gibson
Channing/Webster
Shenton/Shenton
Carney/Clare
Sneyd/Sneyd
Finn/Ellis
Huby/Huby
Clark/Milner
Lynch/Wheeldon
Hauraki/Mariano
Holmes/Holmes
Millington/Massey

Wheeldon/Fleming
Boyle/Boyle
Mariano/Day
Milner/Clark

wasn't owen given the number 1 shirt before the start of the season when mathers left. it certainly left mathers in no doubt that basil didn't want him.

Clark at 7. Really?

We shouldn't change too much. The idea of having cover in each position is so someone can slot in. I'd put Clare to Fb. Owen on the wing. Simple.

I honestly think that clark with ball in hand more would help us also his running at the line is frightening id agree though of not Clare as his kick return is very quick and decent but think we might lose abit of our attacking edge when Clare links in the line really Suprised no tansey tbh

1. Owen
2. Carney
3. Shenton
4. Channing
5. Clare
6. Finn
7. Sneyd
8. Lynch
9. Clark
10. Huby
11. Millington
12. Holmes
13. Milner

14. Ellis
15. Wheeldon
16. Boyle
17. Mariano

Go for the kill in the first 20 with Milner & Clark on the pitch. Mariano has out performed Hauraki recently who could do with the rest.

It all does beg the question what is up with Tansey. He has been sitting on his backside for 3 weeks and now we need him he is not even in the squad. Sure he could have picked up an injury in training but I hope there is not more to it.
