Well done Liam, you've earn't it.
Carlsberg don't do Soldiers, but if they did, they would probably be Brits.

Great News, although I must admit I thought Liam was already contracted until end of 2009, as listed on Stu's website www.castigers.net

Liam really has deserved it, i think a 1 year deal is about right and then keep giving options on the way he's playing.
Id like to see Wainwright now as hes a valuable team member and we need him for our team or squad next season.
Whats the situation with Catic can he sign for us again or have we gone over on quote? i really hope not, iv never wanted a player to stay more than him!

I believe he as the sufficient skills to be a good front rower, he's no Joe but i would like to see Catic offload more.Flat Capper wrote:Mmmmmmm, not sure on this one. Yes, he's tried very hard this season and often been the most impressive forward for us but does he have sufficient skills to be a dominant front rower?
May well become a squad man.
He's a massive bloke and i think he could be very good at offloading to supporting players, but i would agree i would rather see him be a squad man if it meants he stayed.
We cant be getting rid of talent and someone who shows a lot of effort and determination in is first year back in SL, especially coming back from a team in France.

The answer: no he doesn't have sufficient skills but does put 100% in and he'll be a squad player, good enough to coverFlat Capper wrote:Mmmmmmm, not sure on this one. (I personally cannot see where people get the idea from that he's "amazing" or "fantastic" from: for me he's got 2 major problems; 1-on-1 defence and agression but if and when he gets them sorted he should be good enough)
