Leeds feeling insecure about Cas encounter

Post by Fazfan » 24 Jun 2008, 10:35

Leeds are now saying that they will possibly bring their internationals home to play against Cas on Saturday, this in spite of a previous statement that they had enough depth in the squad to beat Cas without them. Not so sure of themselves then !

After losing their last two games they will do everything to ensure they don't get beaten again. They came to Cas expecting a walkover and got a shock, they won't want to do the same again.

Suits me. Prefer them tired and jet-lagged to keen to get into the first team. They used a game a week previously as the excuse last time we beat them.
Don't Leeds have a problem though with naming the 19 48 hours in advance?

When you say Leeds are contemplating bringing players back is this from the club themselves or from nervous fans...

When I said it's on Sky I was answering someone who said 'where does it say that they are bringing their internationals home' sorry for the misunderstanding

I'm tempted to email Boots N All about this, especially seeing how Phil Clarke's Sky email address doesn't work any more...

Seriously, what if Wigan or Quins had players called up, their game is on the Friday so would have no opportunity to 'double up' with any players. Then there's the fact ours is the only Saturday game, so if Joe were to play twice he'd have a day less to recover than Martin Gleeson, James Roby etc.

SL and especially the franchise era is all meant to be about a level playing field, how exactly does letting some teams play their internationals but others not, count as fair?

yeah, Jamie (cant speak properly) Peacock was spouting off in the Rugby Leaguer that they would beat us with several players out.

Lets go there and show them they aren't the Best!

Saying that, with them thinking they are LUFC they might call Tresor Kandol and Jermaine Beckford up to cover for some forwards that are out!
