I'd like Manchester if anything because of the closeness. 30 minute train from Leeds (on a good day) and they run all night. Won't feel much like a holiday though.

100% it's back at Newcastle 2019 but two weekends have been mentioned either side of the wit bank holiday. Why it cannot be on bank holiday weekend God only knows as it as a big effect on the Sunday's gate especially for those that play late in the day.

While I think Newcastle has been good, I think it's time to move it again. You have to keep it fresh and create it as a saleable asset, where cities bid for it.

For me, I think the next one should be in Coventry to support Coventry Bears in the same way that we have for Newcastle. They did a really good job at the Olympics laying on buses from the city centre to the Ricoh Arena.

Capacity is 32,609 and usually Day 1 attendance is higher due to the fact they stockpile the best supported teams for Day 1.

With it switching to alternative positions playing against each other in the same groups of 4 (e.g. 1 v 3, 2 v 4, 5 v 7) it's likely the game line up will be something like:

Saints v Cas
Wigan v Wire
Wakey/Hudds v Catalans/Hull (let's say Wakey v Catalans)
Wakey/Hudds v Catalans/Hull (let's say (Hudds v Hull)

1st in Qualifiers v 3rd in Qualifiers (likely to be Leeds v HKR if fixtures go to plan)
2nd v MPG winner (Salford v Toronto/London/Toulouse)

You'd probably have:

Day 1:
Wakey v Catalans
Hudds v Hull
Saints v Cas

Day 2:
Salford v Toronto
Leeds v HKR
Wigan v Wire

Likely to then either sell out both days or at least get close on both.

Sure they said last week that magic fixtures will be how hudds wrote, ie 1v3, 2v4, 5v7 etc.
To avoid repetition of the loop fixtures where odd teams will play all the even teams and even all the odd.
Which sort of makes sense if you think about it, at least everyone would be playing against a team from the same part of the table. Let's be fair, while Wigan were playing wire and Cas v Leeds, whoever thought that saints v widnes was a fair match up this year was sadly misguided. Or Hull v KR for that matter.

How can any extra fixture of this nature be fair when relegation is at stake, the event wants scrapping.
