Catalan at home - Wigan, Wire & Hudds
Catalan at home - Wigan, Wire & Hudds
2 week away I know but let's start a convo on this.
We obviously play Catalan at home in 2 week where we could possibly get some bodies back including the man himself. No excuses but to win this after Catalan win their first CC.
Warrington play at home to Hull -Wire win
Wigan travel to Saints - Saints win
Hudds home to Wakey - Hudds win
Obviously these are only my predictions but with 4 games left this would leave us 1 point behind Wigan, 2 points clear of Wire and 6 points clear of Hudds. Could be a good week.

Re: Catalan at home - Wigan, Wire & Hudds
Hoping they have a hang over in 2 weeks time.
A challenge cup win for them could mean a few senior players rested (nothing to play for).
With gale back and a bit of organisation I’d like to see our attack more fluent.
We still haven’t clicked in that department.
PM 2 weeks to learn our left side moves, I’m looking for a vast improvement.
Catalans looked poor against Wigan, lack of interest.
Could they have hit and gone through there purple patch.
Would love to see us hit one over the next 5/6 games.

Trueman and gale for me.tigerfeat wrote:If gale is back will it be ...

Though DP may think Trueman needs a rest.
Might get shot down for this but Ellis imo offers nothing.
Re: Catalan at home - Wigan, Wire & Hudds
I'd go Gale/Trueman but to start with to save Luke kicking the conversions in a high tempo game i reckon it might be Ellis/Gale.

Wigan losing to Saints would be good but am sure Wigan knowing we have to go Saints last game of 8's will fill them with confidence. Sadly I think we had our chance for 2nd (Hudds at home and Wigan away) and let it slip but you never know.
Re: Catalan at home - Wigan, Wire & Hudds
We've got a perfectly wretched record at saints so id take nowt for granted but surely they will have there second team in for that last match?

Especially if it means cheeseing off Wigan and doing them out of 2nd.

If Saints win then they secure the league and the home semi, as we did with bags to spare. Will this mean their final games including Wire will be having under strength sides out or will they go for momentum? We trailed off in the 8s barring the Wakey game amd half v Leeds we were patchy. Wonder how Saints will go.Swagger wrote:2 week away I know but let's start a convo on this.

We have to win our next 2. If we do then we are in the 4 no doubt. We could also be breathing down Wigan's neck. They play Hull or Wakey after Saints.

Regardless of the result in the CC final, Catalans season ends in that game so we've no excuse for not getting the two points

we have had more than our fare share of injuries this year , to get in to the semi final would be great, to take on either Saints or Wigan in a semi final home or away will do for me , you have got to be in it to win in it

let's remember Gale plays on the left, where Trueman has played all year and built combinations.

I'm already gearing my self for a trip to either Saints or Pies. If we can put a team out that has got minimal injuries we can beat either of them on their turf. The atmosphere would be electric...

Think we are 3rd or maybe second but unlikely.SuffolkTiger wrote:Couldn't agree more.gateman wrote:we have had more than our fare share of injuries this year , to get in to the semi final would be great, to take on either Saints or Wigan in a semi final home or away will do for me , you have got to be in it to win in it
