frustrating thing is both times he dropped it under no pressure & both times he pushed Trueman out the way to take charge. Both had fantastic kicking games today don't think we forced that many drop outs all last year
Best scrum half by a country mile, so what if he dropped the ball a little in a friendly in poor conditions. Current man of steel and will definitely defend his title this season.
my comment was based on the fact to some he can do no wrong ! but if Clare dropped it or Aston they'd be slated !

True, but neither Aston nor Clare have proved themselves yet

Said it on another thread he allegedly fell out with their former coaching staff. KR let him go due to relegation. IMO will be at least as good as Lynchy was last season.

All teams will be putting them up to test him.
The drop out by Leeds were Roberts had no pressure and just dropped it.
Big worry for me.
Lol
Handling was a big issue for both teams all across the park because of the weather
Agree, but when there’s no pressure on you. Come on.
I will give him the benefit of the doubt.
While he may not have had any pressure on him it was awful conditions - have you ever tried catching something when your hands are ice cold and the object is wet? I'd probably wager you'd drop it 9/10.

Depends if it’s a wad of 50 pound notes or a pint of southern comfort and lemonade.
Guaranteed 10/10

Understandable. A haggis can be difficult to handle in damp and cold conditions. Not good for the nips & tatties either.....

Everyone moaning about dropped balls, were you wearing gloves at the match? Hands nice a toasty. The players were frozen solid muddy and wet. Think they did pretty good catching the balls they did.

Looks like Roberts is the one to get the stick this season, Massey will be relieved.

As soon as Massey drops the ball/knocks on for the first time or misses his first tackle normal service will resume

I think that finally the majority of fans see the value in Massey. I've always found it strange that everyone sang Powell's praises, but many did not understand why he values Massey so highly.. He rarely drops a ball, rarely misses a tackle, but his apparent lack of penetration upset his critics.

I was very impressed with the way he managed to stay in field when he had the ball out wide and three Leeds players tried to push him into touch, which on a very wet pitch I thought they would, but he is a strong lad and they couldn't!
