Almost 1/2 way through.

Post by stuey » 29 May 2017, 18:56

Played 17, won 14.

Potentially 19 games left --- 14 SL, 3 cup, play-off semi, Grand Final.

Won nowt yet, and now possibly a couple of key players injured and a tough month coming up. Saints (who have had a week off), Warrington (the easiest of the 4, but still no gimee), then Hull (away) & Leeds (away).

Top 4 almost secure, but still need as many points as we can to take forward into the last 7 games.

Top four almost secure is a bit premature but we need only one point to secure our spot in the top 8!!!

4 wins clear of 3rd and 4th due to our far superior points difference.
4 clear wins above Hull in 5th
2 wins clear of Salford due to our far superior points difference.
6 wins clear of Wigan and St Helens

Not bad with 7 games until the split and 14 in total. Sure we would have whipped everybodys hands off given that before round 1 kick off.

Just like to add we've played 5 games in May, and won the lot.
What a time to be a cas fan.

Top 8 is basically secure now. 14 points clear with 7 to play and over 400point difference in our favour.

Great cushion to have. 4 wins clear of 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Never thought Salford would be our closest rival.

Feel a little bad on Powell because if Salford keep going I can see Powell missing out on Coach of the season again. Even though we play the best rugby by a long shot thanks to Powell. For Watson to have Salford 1 tackle away from Championship football to only 2 points off top spot is some achievemeny in less than 1 year.

have to agree there normy, if they were giving coach of the year out now it would have to be Watson. chester at wakey deserves some credit too on a limited budget.
