Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond is improving but remains seriously ill in hospital after he crashed a jet-powered car during filming for the BBC show.
The 36-year-old was thought to be driving at about 300mph on an airfield near York when he crashed on Wednesday

Top gear has gone from an informative motoring show to an adrenlin filled high octane fuelled loon parade.
If a motorcycling show presented itself in that way the ban em all brigade would be out in force.

Richard has been diagnosed with a "Serious Brain Injury" his wife, Mindy, is at his bedside and his co-hosts, Jeremy Clarkson and James May have visited him. Clarkson, using Hammonds nick-name said "We hope to get out hamster back very soon."
Richard Hammond is being cared for in the Intensive Care Unit at Leeds General Infirmary, Doctors there say they are "reasonably optimistic" that the 36-year-old Top Gear and Brainiac star would make a good recovery.
