Club Say Featherstone Game Still Only a Possibility
Earlier this week, Featherstone added a match with the Tigers to their pre-season friendly list after the Tigers decided to take on Doncaster in their Boxing day fixture. Featherstone were a bit unhappy, to say the least and the club publically displayed their upset by released a statement claiming the Cas' hadn't discussed the matter with them.
In light of this, Featherstone seem to have jumped the gun a bit. In a statement from the club, Tigers Media Manager, David Smart, has told Casforum, "At present this is a possibility, but hasn't yet been confirmed, hence [it is] not on our website."
The game, with KO time is displayed on the Casforum fixtures list, but will be adjusted should the club decide it best not to part-take in this match.
Keep your eyes peeled.

Giants sign Korki
A vote of sympathy has to go to the Huddersfield Giants today as they have announced the signing of prop, Michael Korkidas. The seventeen and a half stone giant has joined Huddersfield on a three-year deal after the announcement of his release from Cas' last month.
Korkidas is happy with the move saying, ""It’s a great move for me. I was looking for an opportunity and when Browny showed interest I jumped at it. I know him from my NRL days and he is a top class coach who I believe can bring the best out me and get me back to the form I was showing a few years back."
Huddersfield coach, Nathan Brown, is also keen to get started, "Michael is a player I know pretty well from over here and he can certainly bend a defensive line and give some great go forward. My assistant coach Paul Anderson played against him a few times and knows exactly what he can do. Our challenge is to get him back to the form he showed a few years back when Paul says he was rampaging over most teams and I have no doubts that if we can do that then we have another big game impact player in our squad."
Brown continued on to say, "For whatever reason he perhaps didn’t have his best year last season but he wants to play for us and prove a few people wrong. We are very happy to give him that opportunity and he will add size to an already very big, strong pack. The competition over there seems to have bigger players than the NRL and with the likes of Korky joining the lads there is no way we will lack for size in the forwards."
Best of luck to Korki, and even better luck to the Giants.
