Thakeray on Loan to Fev.
The club confirmed today that terms have now been argreed with Featherstone Rovers, and half back Anthony Thackeray will be joining them on loan.
Featherstone will have the use of Thackeray until the end of the current season, and Anthony will then return to the Tigers for the 2009 campaign, at the end of which, his contract with Cas´ terminates.
One of the clauses of the contract with Featherstone states that the half-back can be bought back to the Jungle after 28 days, meaning head coach, Matterson, has the option of playing him in the last three games of the season.
Thackaray will be joining Jack Lee and Nathan Massey, two current Cas´ lads on loan, and seven former Tigers´ in the Featherstone squad.

Wright on PodCas
Chief Executive, Richard Wright, features in this weeks PodCas. In this special edition of PodCas, shot from the site of the Tigers´ new stadium in Glasshoughton, Wright is questioned on the construction timeline, to which he replys, "We have a plan and we expect construction to start next year and for us to be in the new stadium in 2010."
The video see´s the ongoing groundworks on the site, located between J32 of the M62 and Xscape, but doesn´t give us any information on when full planning permission may be obtained, finance confirmed or architects appointed.

Harlequins are 5 down
Harlequins RL official website reports that five of the first team squad will miss this weekends game against Castleford, the five players all recieved suspensions at the hands of the RFL last night. David Howell, Tony Clubb, Mike Worrincy, Rikki Sheriffe and Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook were all involved in an on-pitch brawl with Catalans Dragons. Dragons´ Adam Mogg also recieved a suspension as a result.
Harlequins, however, recieved some good news when Karl Temata, Julien Rinaldi and Joe Mbu were all confirmed as fit enough to play, Harlequins also have their fingers crossed that Gareth Haggerty´s injury is over and that medical staff give him the all clear to play.
