Matterson's Post-KR Comments
A poor Castleford effort led to a 4 - 20 defeat away at Hull KR this evening. After a promising win last week against the Rhinos, things started to look up for the tigers, until tonight. Hull faught through the fog this evening to clinch a win that has been described as "consistant" by KR's coach, Justin Morgan.
Tiger's head coach, Terry Matterson, had the following to say to Sporting Life.
"Our effort was there but the big difference in the teams was the kicking games."
"We couldn't strike a blow with ours and theirs' was outstanding."
"We were on the end of some penalties and that usually happens when you're on the back foot. I'm proud though because we stuck in until the end and score a try."
"It's about Hull KR though as they were tremendous and we weren't too good with the ball. We had a good win last week but six or seven days is a long time in rugby league. Things can change fairly quickly.
Terry closed the interview by saying, "Our guys were ready for this but Hull KR were deserved winners."
