Club Release Statement RE Dwain Chambers
Castleford Tigers chief executive, Richard Wright, made a statement regarding Dwain Chambers and his involvement with the club, Wright starts by saying, "We wish to make our position regarding Dwain Chambers’ clear to our supporters and fans in general. He is with us as a trialist at this stage and is just beginning his Rugby League education."
The club have stated that Chambers, who was banned for two years from athletics for using designer steroid THG in 2006, will have no place on the first team squad, and have said that the 29-year-old sprinter's progress will be closely monitored and he may play in the Reserve squad.
Dwain will be training with the Tigers today (Thursday) and tomorrow and coaching staff will be watching to see any potential the trialist has as a Rugby League star...
