Chambers set to stay?

Dwain Chambers is set to stay in Castleford it seems with the general consensus of press believing that a sponsorship package is being plugged together to keep him on until the end of the season.

BBC Sport says: "Sprinter Dwain Chambers is expected to find out if he has a future with Castleford in rugby league on Tuesday.

"Castleford are trying to put together a sponsorship package to retain Chambers following a month-long trial."

A crowd of just over 3,000 saw Chambers make his debut a week last Sunday against York City Knights' reserves.

The former banned athlete completed 39 minutes of the game and made one try saving tackle in that duration.

Several clubs from both rugby league and rugby union are also waiting in the wings to make offers should Castleford fail to agree terms with the Londoner.
